just bought a brand new never sold 2001 sprint st. got a deal i couldn't pass up. it i get the same dependablility out of it as i did with my speedmaster i will be happy. my 03 speedy has given me 80000 enjoyable miles. They gave me the same 2 year/unlimited milage waranty that any new bike gets. now it is time to troll the st threads and learn what i can about my new ride. BTW kept the speedy cause i believe it has a lot more life left in it. any good advice out there.

Welcome to the sprint fold...

I am very happy with my '01... I have about 85,000 relatively trouble-free miles... and it just keeps going and going...

Hi bad406,
Congratulations you have gotten yourself a great bike.

There is a lot of bumph in here about your ride and plenty of guys with a wealth of technical knowledge (I am not one of them)

Here's a list of stuff I have put on my '04 or had on at some time:

Accessories fitted to 2004 Sprint ST, Caspian Blue.

Previous Triumph Carbon Fibre race can
Triumph SS Race Can
Triumph Gel seat
Previous Triumph rear hugger
Radguard oil and radiator protector grille
Ventura Packrack
Dual head lamp relay
Datatool S3 Alarm system
Triumph Risers sold to Tankman
18 tooth Front Sprocket (best money spent)
Triumph Daytona rear hub nut cover
Ventura sportrack and sportpack
Power Bronze carbon look hugger
Had rear shock rebuilt revalved re gassed and re oiled (made a vast improvement for not many bucks)
More oil than spec in front forks (also made a vast difference)

Tyres fitted;
Avon Azaro Sports TouringST 45/46 longevity 6300kms f&r
Michelin Pilot Power Sports – 3 sets approx longevity 4500 – 5000kms f&r
Dunlop Qualifier Sports longevity 3190kms f&r
Bridgestone Battlax 002 medium compound race 3400kms rear
( I like this tyre the best so far)

Pics in my album of all the stuff.
