I'm looking for an under fairing location to install a Stebel Nautilus, and an initial inspection isn't leaving me with any clear direction... anyone out there with this one under their belt that could shorten the curve for me a bit? I've seen some posting on fitting them under fairing on 955 bikes, but nothing on '05+

TIA :-D

I'm about to do the same thing.

I've seen pics of it mounted roughly where the standard horn is, but tilted back toward the frame. I'm not to sure about that position or tilting it.

There was a detailed installation on a S3, posted somewhere that showed it mounted in the hollow near the front sprocket cover.

I am going investigate a space under the main fairing on both sides. As you probably know they are very loud so there will be no loss of noise from being inside the plastic.

I the biggest pain will be makinga bracket for wherever you decide to put it.

I put one in on a bracket on the right side just behind the radiator by the opening in the fairing. Fits nicely there.

Any chance of some Pics Yimm showing how you mounted it?

Brett.

I'll take some next time I have the fairing off..........

In the meanwhile, take a piece of 16 ga. stainless sheet, bend one angle and drill to attach at the through bolt between the upper and lower radiators, then bend a second angle, perpendicular, for the horn bolt, trim to fit.

Voila........see how easy that was?

I just mounted mine in the same location as Yimm. It seemd like the most logical location since I just mounted an HID high beam and put the ballast in the space below the high beam. It's definitely an improvement over stock. Unfortunately, I don't have any pics either.
