Just looked at the speed triple on t-website & they say it has 131bhp must be a mis- print.

As we only have 123bp

I don't think it's a mis-print, the Daytona and the S3 rev harder than the Sprint.... But they aren't as pretty :-D

It's not a misprint, as well as being lighter, having lower gearing the S3 has a slightly higher state of tune.

It still redlines at 10000rpm.

So this means that there are no mechanical differences accounting for the increased power between the Sprint and the S3 motor other than ECU mapping, gearing and maybe exhaust internals?

I don't know, but I find hard to believe that they can come up with so much more claimed horsepower at the crank and still a road legal bike (from the emisions and noise point of view) with just different ECU mapping.

The Speed Triple has hotter cams whether Triumph claims it or not. In fact, a friend of mine swapped the cams from a S3 to his Sprint and picked up about 5 horses...

In the back of sport rider Magazine I believe its listed as lower than the sprint as is the 1/4 mile... this could be at a certain rpm though.

can anyone confirm?
