Well, In just over 2 weeks, I take delivery of my '07 Sprint ST - in the Tornado red colour!

I travelled up to Shepparton today, and dealt with Brett of AJ's motorcycles, who was excellent - did a good deal, and his customer service was of a very high standard.

I could have had it mid week...but since I am commuting between Melbourne and Brisbane, the 5/02 is the earliest that I can get there to pick it up...ah, well the anticipation will make it all the better...(that is what I keep telling myself, anyway...lol)

I have already booked it in with Charlie of Turn One for a "set up" session...and to have a Givi topbox fitted.

Does anyone know anything about the rear huggers that are sold by thunderbike in NZ? Are they any good?

Cheers, :-D

Tony,
congrats on the new Sprint. I know nothing of the huggers from thunderbike, but the powerbronze huggers are very good and worth the the money. Say Hi to Charlie from the Dutchman, he used to look after my 595 Daytona before I moved from Mr Brack's anti motorcycle state to motorcycle heaven. Anyway best of luck and hopefully will see you down here in Tassie oneday.

NIltime,
welcome to the world of Triumph. The underwire versions a bit sharp but the lacy one's really comforta...... woops sorry, wrong forum.

Welcome to the madhouse. There's a lot of folk with good info here and more than a smattering of Aussies, including from your sourthern city. You'll love the Sprint and the red looks great.

Pity you've gotta wait, seems ya know a thing or two about Sprints if you're already booked into Charlies. A friend of Ern's are you?

enjoy,
Russ

Thanks for the good wishes, guys.

Charlie has been fettling my Trumpy's for the past 10 years or so now...so, I guess that I have some Trumpy miles under the belt.

I have met Ern a couple of times..at Charlies, when he had his silver ST. He certainly is one fast rider!

Only about 15 sleeps to go!

welcome to the madhouse Niltime.

The Sprint will be a step up from the Vespa - be careful with the throttle or you could get a nasty surprise :-D

I also fitted a Powerbronze hugger and can recommend them.Photos in my album if you want a look.

I tried to get a hugger from Thunderbike about 12 months ago but they mucked me around for about 3 months saying 'they will be ready in 2 weeks'.Apparently they were developing their own hugger and obviously experiencing some delays. They wouldnt advise me when it was ready but wanted me to keep calling them - so I gave it a miss in the end :???:

I found a photo of one on their site.It looks different to other ones and I would be interested to see a photo of the whole thing.Price seems OK especially if it is real carbon fibre.

welcome aboard Niltime,
This is a great site, if your in Brisvagas sometime mebee we can catch up.

I have the same hugger as those scallywags Iceman and tankman on my 955i 2004 model Sprint and am very happy with it.

I previously had the Triumph hugger but after 18 months it decided to self destruct.

The Powerbronze hugger is a good peice of kit.

Thanks for the advice on the huggers, Ice man and Dave - much appreciated!

I am working in Brisvegas over the next 2 weeks, so pm me if you would like to catch up sometime.

And I bet that they will be the longest 2 weeks that I have experienced...lol

Cheers

Congrats on the new bike. I love my 06' and hope to love it even more with some decent rubber. Hey ; let us know how you like that higher screen. Was gonna get the aero last year but heard buffeting issues arise. Looks like this new screen is even higher...Above all ... be careful!!!
