Speaking for the RS (and probably) pre 05 ST's. They are rock solid at high speed.

Not that I am advocating speeding !!

I have had mine to 225kph (140mph) easily and ran out of road not ooomph..

Buffeting when passing trucks can be a little unsettling but they are remarkable stable at speed.

Very confidence inspiring. :-D

I've had over 230kph on the dial a number of times. I've cruised at 190kph between towns. The bike is very stable.

Although I did find taking some floodways (dips in the road in open flat country to assist drainage) at 170 a bit of a scare. I'd been crusing at 190-200 for a while so when the floodway came up I dabbed the brake to wash off speed and nearly got air coming out the other side! Looked at the speedo and thought - woops, losing 20k at those speeds is nothing, need to get down to under 130-140 for most of the floodways :-)

True Steve, but the way I look at it, our wheels and cranks are gyroscopes, so the faster they spin the moe stable we are - especially passing trucks :-)

My last trip on I-695 coming home to Fresno CA from Reno Nevada I cruised at 110 for literally an hour or so and never felt uncomfortable. Infact, it is a little unsettling to think at that speed one could feel so invincible... almost inspiring overconfidence.

Although my 02 ST is rock solid at speed, with a little bit more pressing effort she responds VERY well to leaning over for those big sweeping turns.

In all, when I grow up, I want to be a Triumph ST. :-D

Oh ya, I don't think the 02-04 ST will actually do 150MPH. I believe my GPS has recorded 120 while the Speedo was 10-15MPH optimistic.

Verrrry stable. I've done 2-3 hour stretches at 180-190kmh on less than perfect backroads and it is soooo relaxing that it's that it's as close as I get to meditating.

As far as top speed goes, mine's never been totally stretched out but has seen 230kmh with a little left in reserve. I'm running the 18 tooth front sprocket so top speed would down a bit from standard.

I've had mine up to the redline in 6th gear and it continues to feel more stable the I go.

I've seen 150+ more than several times and the bike is stable. Wind and dirty air do have an effect on this bike.
This past weekend while trying to adjust a new rear shock I routinely saw 110 and better leaned way over in sweepers. The bike was stable and line changes were still easy. When set up properly, this is a sweet handling bike for its weight.

The bike is rock steady at high speeds. It always amazes me with how smooth it is. I have had it up to 149.9 mph per the speedo but have not updated my pictures yet.

Top Speed
