Hi there

I've just ordered an '07 Sprint ST here in the UK (trading in an '06 Speed Triple - great bike but not as practical as I now need) and I wonder if anyone knows of the higher bars and screen are standard in the UK too or just the US.

Thanks everyone.

Hey Dlanod,

As far as i am aware... the bars and screen are standard worldwide...

Stay Safe!

Thanks for the reply - I've pinged an email to my dealer and hopefully I can save £80 on the screen!

I attended the 2006 NEC show and the two 2007 STs on show had the 'normal' (2005-06) low bars. The Triumph representative informed me that UK 2007 spec. bikes will not have high bars as standard. Therefore, ask your dealer to specify them when you order (by the way the new black option looks really nice!).
The bars will be available with a fitting kit for pre 2007 models so the rest of us oldies can save our wrists on long journeys!
Hope this helps.

Hi Palious

Thanks for the response - that's really helpful. I'll probably try the standard bars first - the bike I demo'd had the standard bars and they seemed fine - coming from an S3 they still felt pretty sporty mind you. I've specified the taller screen though at the dealers recommendation. Are you happy with your bike? What colour did you go for?

My Red 07 came with standard screen and standard bars. The dealer flipped when I said the NEC bikes had raised bars and screen.

I find the stock setup is great for my type of riding. The bike goes for its 500m service next week it just seems to get better and better.

The only niggle was I had to adjust the main beam up but that only took 5 minutes.
