Anybody knows the exact specs (and OEM manufacturer) of the H7 projector for the Sprint's main beam (centre projector).

I'm trying to look for alternatives since I believe it is a very bad design.

Niko,

I'm really happy with this generation Sprint's headlight set up. Some people can't stand them. I had the old Sprint, it this was a huge improvement.

I found old Sprint had a better main beam, new Sprint has better low beam. Mind you, both of my headlights worked on low/high on my old '99 ST.

Main problems with new Sprint IMO:

1. Too severe cut-off point in low beams. I can live with it especially since I changed to Silverstars.

2. Small projector instead of reflector (or large projector) used for high beam. Also bad projector design. High beam I find all but useless. Too narrow, not enough light on road. Road signs are well illuminated but road is dark. Silverstar didn't make much difference.

Bike with best lights in this class is the Honda VFR (Interceptor) IMO.

So nobody has taken his headlights apart to look at the projector units?

I'd like to know the OEM manufacturer and type of projector if possible and also the dimensions of the projector unit to find out:

1. If they are HID compatible
2. Alternative unit

I guess I either have to take my bike apart or spend the $ to order a unit from Triumph and then list it on ebay
