Very nice, but the pics don't do the colour justice. I have the 2007 in Tornado Red and have seen the Black in the local dealer showroom. It looks great and for those who haven't seen one, it is a metallic black with some blue/green fleck through it that really enhances the colour.

How are you enjoying the ride?

Yes its true, the pictures don't do the color justice, as far as the tires go.. I really like them, when it is dry around here (witch isn't very often as of late) they stick very well, and in the rain witch I have done allot of riding in...they work surprisingly well.

The bike as a whole, is way more than I expected.. the handling, smoothness of power, comfort, and craftsmanship are superb..I am the kind of guy that loves to modify my toy's, and besides a few minor thing's such as exhaust, and a few electronic add on's I don't feel I need to change anything!

Dave.. thanks for the pic posting tips!

Just a hint/suggestion. I am no professional photographer by any means, but do dabble a bit.

If you are taking pics of your bike in the garage and the flash is going off, it's not going to do the bike justice.

Either quelly your excitement and wait till the next day and take a pic out in the daytime in the driveway or experiment by turning off your flash and letting the shutter compensate for the lack of light.

You will either need a tripod for this or some other DIY way to keep the camera very stable as the shutter will most likely want to be open for a good second or so.

Also, check the white balance setting on the camera when you do this(if you can). Sometimes setting this to 'cloudy' will give you slightly more saturation and will bring out those colors. This is especially important when taking pics of a dark bike.

I think you will be very much impressed at how those pics turn out then!

A couple more bike photo taking tips:

First I agree with Shawn - use a tripod and turn that flash off.
I'd go further and try and use a tripod even if the light is good - it enables you to play with exposure and aperture settings that would be hard to achieve holding the camera in your hands (that's if you have a camera that enables you to manually control it).
Another tip would be to look at what's behind the bike before taking a photo - things like bushes aren't great as they interfere with the lines of a bike and really brightly coloured objects also detract from the bike - especially with a black bike! If you can't find a 'less busy' background, try moving the bike as far away from those type of objects and then use the largest aperture you can (small f stop) and preferably with a telephoto lens (again you need to have manual control over your camera). This will leave the bike in focus and push the background out of focus (called depth of field) - it's a really nice effect which when really pushed can be used to have an area of the bike in focus whilst the rest is out of focus.
My last tip would be to take photos outside early in the morning or late in the afternoon when the sun is low in the sky - you get much more dramatic lighting and this make the bike look a lot better. A lot of film directors will shot early or late for just that reason...
Hope this helps.
