Having seen the post I just called the nearest Triumph dealer to me ( J Lilley's) and they had heard about it. They assured me that the recall notices were going out, but as mine has only just changed hands and had a plate change It could slip through the net. Still. they were more than happy to do the work. 1 hr needed. :-D

HI, i went onto the triumph website and entered my vin number and it said no recall for my bike.
So i phoned my dealer today and he said yes my bike is on the list for the recall,??????.
The way triumph word it on the website is that all 05 st abs or non abs models require the bolt.
So anyway im booked in.

If I was free to talk I might suggest that they were caught with their pants down and a tad embarrassed about telling us that no problem existed.
Hmmm, maybe it would be better all-round if Triumph had a better way of communicating things to their customers - good AND bad. And for that matter maybe their dealers should be better educated on the product, the person I bought my new ST from knew SFA about the Sprint and the *issues* they have had over the years.

I'm not at all happy that it's taken Triumph this long to do something about a serious problem, and that they have ignored my correspondence on the matter, and that I'm being refused the *fix* before I get some stupid letter. I'm heading off on holidays on my bike in two weeks, obviously now it will be with the thought in the back of my mind that the rear suspension linkage could fail.

Just had the recall work done at the Charlotte NC Triumph dealership. They called Wednesday, the parts were in Friday and the work was done Saturday. It took .31 hours. The part numbers are as follows:

a. T3330335, 1 Bolt SKT HD, M10x100
b. T3350005, 1 Locknut Flanged M10
c. T2050102, 1 Sleeve, Ground, 10 15 72
d. T2050102, 1 Sleeve, Ground, 10 15 72
e. T2050103, 2 Spacer DIA 30x17.5
f. T3550166, 2 Washer, M10, Hardened

Great ride on Saturday. It was 18 degrees F starting at 7:00 am. Two hour ride. Cold dense air made a very fast, smooth ride. Ride home at 50 degrees F was the best... :upthumb:

Oh! One other bit of information. It was called "Recall 378".
BMW, Ducati, Triumph of Charlotte does a great job. Thanks Bob and Delong!

Just had my recall July 06 reg model dealer says they have to check it first as it may not require all parts replaced .
Excellent bike so far certainly different to the Trophy I had previously and found a bit too heavy .
Question for WILLS what are all the gauges in the fairing on the left side?

Service bulletin 378 does take 0.31 hours providing your vin number is between 221423-287719 and 290144-298255 and the drag link bolt does not show any signs of bending, if this is the case then the drag link rear bearing and seals need replacing which will add another 0.2 hours to the job (providing the dealer has the parts coz they are a separate addition to sb 378).
ST's with vin numbers between 287720-290143 are on service bulletin 379 as they have the drag link bolt inserted from the r/h side of the bike and therefore require the pannier rails, rear bodywork, silencer & exhaust intermediate pipe removed to enable the drag link bolt to be removed which increases the job time to 0.91 hours or 1.11 hours (with bearings).

My bike which I purchased about 2 months ago is affected, but the parts are on back order in Sydney. Will be at least a month away. I imagine it will be well into the new year before I get the recall done, so no back brake for me
