Trying to be seen

I bought some 3M reflective material and applied it to the Sprint (with some rattle can blue). Catches the eye for under $10.

You can buy the material here

exausted

As lovers of cheap performance mods we just cant help ourselves . I finally drilled out the canister using a 1 1/4 drill bit. It took all of 10 minutes to figure out and drill out. My only beef is I wish I had done it sooner. I took it out for the first test drive and wow , this thing puts the front tire in the air so easy now I have to fight the urge to launch it every time I ride now. The bike can finally breath. What a difference. Thanks for the great advise.

From your username I guess you have an ST, but what year?

Do you still have the stock tune, or the TOR tune, or....?

$10.00 Mod.

My favorite cheap mod is to put $10.00 in the tank. Makes the little needle go from E to F.

mirrors

The mirrors on my RS show a nice view of my elbows. Does anyone know a replacement/extender?

Cheers

Why would you want longer elbows?

Hey Yosir,

You might want to go with some bar ends. Here's a link: http://www.canyonchasers.net/reviews...s/napoleon.php

Hope that this help... have to admit that "longer elbows" crack was pretty funny!

another exhaust question

Since there are alot of stock exhaust for the 1050 Sprint ST 05-07 out there on e-bay I was wondering if you can take the stock exhaust and gut it for more sound?? I took my exhaust apart on my 02 VFR and just gutted them out and the sound was great. If any did this to their Sprint ST exhaust please reply back with picture and detailed info. I rather spend 20 buck on a louder exhaust than 400 plus on the TOR or more $$ for other aftermarkets ones. Thanks

Yes you can take the stock can apart, gut it, and have a louder muffler if that is what is important to you. I seriously doubt that you would be satisfied with the way the bike would run after doing that.

You could gut the stock can and have a custom tune installed after spending time on a dyno and buying a tuneboy. By that time, you would have exceeded the price of a TOR/Trident.

As you can see from the pics, the stock cans are not the usual muffler configuration as seen on other brands.
