Hi all,
<BR>I have been thinking about getting an 07 seat for my 05 Sprint the make it a bit more comfy for the minister for war and finance. Having a spare seat I took it to our local upholster. For $70 dollars he reshaped the rear section and made it more of a saddle and trimmed the front sides. All in all it made the seat a lot more usable and compy.

replacement o-rings for the quick disconnect lines on sprints are 7.65mm inner diameter X 1.78mm thickness you can order the fuel resistant viton o-rings from a seal supplier for a fraction of the Triumph cost, in my neck of the woods 4.30 cents each vs. $5-6.00 from Triumph

Remove the ST 'condoms' for better looking mirrors.

Post about it with pikkies

I hadn't heard of the Loobman referred to above, I have a Scotoiler and am content but the price was a gasp. Best thing is the ***** just wipes off the wheel & chain, and the chain looks better. I'm a shift worker and sometimes had to spray-lube the chain in the dark, which got messy... 22,000km later the chain has not yet needed adjusting.

I know this is not a mechanical mod but what the heck.
Bought some trumpy stickers off E-Bay for my car.
Thought, try um on bike.
Now , non bike riders can see that the ST is a Triumph in traffic.
Was told that decals are old design but who really cares, I think they add more character to the bike

Not sure if there's already info in this thread, but I have some bling on my ride that is subtle but adds a special touch. Pro-Bolt from the UK has colored anodized alloy and titanium nuts and bolts that dress up a bike quite nicely. Check out the pics in my album.

The web site is Tasty Nuts

I saw a product at Aerostich (can't find it now) that was an LED light for your panniers. They basically took an LED headlamp, removed the strap and affixed it into a pannier. I decided to make something up for myself.

I went to Academy Sports and bought two Cyclops Atom headlamps for less than $7 each (batteries included). I also bought some Super Lock fastener from Radio Shack. The Super Lock is adhesive backed heavy duty velcro like fastener.

I removed the head band from the lights and attached Super Lock to the back. I attached a piece to the inside of the pannier too. The Atom light pivots 90 degrees.

It was hard to get a good picture with the interior lit but it works pretty well.

The total cost was less than $20.

Just bought an 01 sprint and love it. Its my first triumph. Im looking for a little more bark out of this stock can and am thinking of drilling it out. Ive done this to another bike in the past with good results, but never had to drill so far into the pipe to get to the baffle. It looks like the baffle is quite a ways in so Id need two extentions to get to it. Please correct me if im wrong. Has anyone done this to an 01 and what was your results. I priced out the extentions for the drill but am unsure of the type of bit to buy. The last bike we just had to punch through the baffle with a pipe and it worked well since the material was honey combed. My pipe looks like solid metal in there and almost appears to be slanted slightly. Any info would be great. Thanks, Bob

It's not really a mod, but may prove very helpfull.

1/ If you drop the bike on the right the gear lever may bend. Triumph quote £60 for a new one. This is obviously blackmail due to the number that get bent. The garage will probably suck breath through its teath and then say " I wouldn't want to try and bend it back. It will break". In fact they do not break and mine is back to normal. just give it gentle pressure and try using a long tube to bend it. Don't heat it.
2/ The price Triumph quote for new levers is about £30-50 each. Hein Gericke (German bike kit shops in the UK and Europe) can supply pattern parts for about £5-6 each!!! in fact the pattern part break lever sorted out the breaking problem - I can now no longer get the lever to touch the handlebar!

st bob,
I looked and couldn't make sense of drilling the stock pipe on the 01, on the 02's and up they have a baffle closer to the exit...

not what you wanted to hear, but maybe a drilled out 02 up pipe can be found cheap.

as far as the levers go, any cheap sources in the states for stock type levers?

appears that almost all triumph models use the same type levers.

I laso have some extra stickers on mine from a Triumh decal kit.
