Hi,

I'm buying an '07 Tornado Red ABS ST next week. Any suggestions on immediate mods?
Should I have the dealer swap out the 020's for Pilot Powers or some other tire?
Also, I haven't ridden the Sprint yet. How does it handle in the twisties?

Ara,
there is a long list of add on bits you can put on the Sprint here are some. Gel seat, TOR exhaust, panniers, and top box. Tail tidy (R&G) hugger (powerbronze) tankbag (Triumph) rear nut cover (Triumph) mesh inserts for the fairing (home made) are just some of the stuff you can get. As for tyres, DaveM is probably the best person the ask, although Z6's are pretty good. Anyway best of luck and enjoy the new Trumpy.

Hi Ara,
I'll post my add on list in a mo'.

But as for tyres it depends how you ride.

My recommendatiosn would be as follows:

For hard sports type riding and little or no commuting:
Michelin Pilot Power or the Bridgestone 002 which is the newest and far improved race sports tyre just out.
I am trialing the Bridgestone for my dealer now and so far am very impressed and I don't like Bridgeys as a rule.

For commuting, trips & some hard riding I would recommend either;
Avon Azaro 45 / 46 ST
or Metzeler Z6 (Don the forum moderators favourite)

both the above have good wet and dry grip and are longer lasting than the sports tyres (obviously).

Continental Road attacks are also quite a popular sports touring choice.

I'll either have them put on the Mich's or the B002's. I'll check into those.
Should I have the dealer put on the 18T when I pick her up or wait a bit?

You can put the 18t on yourself in half the time and a quarter of the cost.
