If I'm not camping I'll be able to get at least 2 weeks of gear in the bags. I'm not going to put the reflectors on them, they look cheesy.

I've never had such a wide ass before!

Wide ass.........how true! But, the bags are nice and handy. Just remember the extra girth when tight manuvering! Someone posted about scratching their bag when parking (forgetting about the extra width) so I'm pretty diligent about watching for that

yeah... I keep them off unless I'm planning a trip.
still looks great but too goldwing for everyday.

I have a triumph tank bag... a great bag just hate the whole tank bra removal process.

I think the bags on the new series ST's are a big improvement over the old style bags. Very well made, watertight and when off the bike, the brackets aren't nearly as unattractive as the old mounting system was.
I do miss not being able to stuff my helmet inside though. their only shortcoming IMHO.

When did you get your bike and how long did it take for the bags to come in??

I got my bike back on Sept 6th and still have not got the bags in. Yes i have called the dealer once a week for the past 4 weeks.

I don't know what dealer you purchased from, but Eurosport in Fort Worth had my bags in less than a week after I bought my ST. I haven't had them installed yet because I'm waiting for my 500 mile service next week.

On your side of town I would suggest RPM Cycles for your service. I bought a Thruxton from them and their service was very good.

it took about a 2 months to get my full hardbags, they had the bags immediatlly but no silver covers.

I did a trip without the covers. and then noticed the big holes in the bags when I installed the covers.

nothing got wet though.
