Hello all! I have a 2007 Sprint on order and me being new to the Triumph scene, I would like to know about changing the exhaust. I know Triumph makes a different silencer. I think that is what they call it. Does it remove the Cat's? Also do you have to calibrate the ECU with new exhaust? As you can tell I am a lay person and need to learn from all of you on this forum. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum mkr1966

The can that you are describing is called the TORS - Triumph off road silencer. It gives the triple a much throatier resonance and a few extra ponies for good measure. I have a Carbon Can on my RS and it is the dog's bollocks IMO

There are also a few other aftermarket pipes around as well, Two Bros, wolf and D&D (i think).

They need to be dialed (tuned in) to match your motor. The dealer can do this - sometimes included if you purchase it from a particular dealer or you can get (borrow or steal) a tuneboy to do the job yourself.

Good luck with your new steed.

Welcome mkr1966,

to Triumph Rat and congratulations on your new Sprint purchase.

I have had the Triumph carbon can on my '04 model and now sport a Triumph Stainless Steel Can.

Great sound and most definitely let some more gee gees out of your triple.
