That is stock in the picture... Just cracked open.

I'm not sure what they did for the race bike either.. They are not saying...

Looks like it come in from the pipe into the first chamber...

Then thru the pipe to the rear most chamber...

Out via another pipe to the middle chamber

Then out the outlet pipe..

I'm thinking the race team just gutted it and put a perforated tube between the inlet and outlet and wrapped it in high temp ceremic wool..

Ah that makes sense. I couldn't see what they'd done at first - obviously nothing which was why I couldn't find it ;-)

A straight through would be interesting.

Its how all the race silencers are built...

On a 1050 do all three tips run into a middle chamber?

I need to find and obtain a stock 1050 muffler from someone who did trident exhaust or another replacement...

Then I can begin the vivisection and come up with a modification..

I have a TIG weder that I am quite good at...

Tankman made new tips for his exhaust, he may know what the internal construction is like. I wouldn't have a clue - I haven't even had the seat off let alone look inside the exhaust muffler :-)

I'll be cutting my exhaust open this weekend. I'll take some pictures, and try to get them posted. I am no engineer, but I always wondered if it could be improved upon. Open it up a bit, get rid of the cat, and put bigger exhaust tips on it. This would get rid of the faux tips, so we'll see what it looks like then.

I have the TOR, and it's good. But I want a deeper tone. I know it may be irresponsible, but I am doing this for the advancement of science.
