The "new" Sprint looks like they are doing something with the handlebars according to "Torque" . I may have to visit this bike again to see if the riding position is more upright. I have been considering the FJR simply because it addresses the touring rider better but I can't get away from Triumphs. Now in Black, Red and Blue. Nice! Jack

Right - the bars are supposed to be a little higher and closer whilst the seat is re-profiled to make it easier to flat-foot.

I have no problem with flat-footing with bent knees and would think a slightly lower seat (or whatever it is) would encroach into my leg room.

I like the sound of the 2nd generation fuel injection but apart from that am glad I got the '06.

Enjoy - BB

be careful in wha tyou wish for.

I had a ninja 650 and its riding position was very straight up. I found I hated it in the bends. most of the guys that bought that bike changed the handlebar position too.

I found the o6 st handlebars to be a great mix. I could still put a 550km day on it. I have a really f'd up right shoulder too.

anyway food for thought.

cheers

I have no problems with the 05/06 bars. I recently did 1120K from the Phillip Island, MotoGP back in 12 1/2 hrs elapsed with no aches or pains in the arms, wrists or shoulders - shame the same can't be said for the backside though :-)

I think the current bars are fine

I wear alot of Mc David brand compression shorts..

Alot like underarmour in fit.. I think the fabric performs better... I have some UA stuff too.. I got a pair of compression shorts with a cup for softball and they were the best set I ever had.. So I found a few sets of their standard compression stuff (no cup carrier pouch) on sale...
