.. we dont see many out on the road compared with the Japanese bikes- but I think our temperate climate helps as its not too difficult to ride for 12 months of the year.

yeah Triumph market share in Oz is only in the single digit % range (about 3-5 I think) but we tend to be enthusiasts (i..e louder than your average rider)...

Mind you we've got a right, we're not riding yet another Jap inline 4 :-) Not knocking the 4s they definitely perform well, but there's a distinct lack of character in most of them that twins and triples have in spades.

There are quite a few up here in the temperate area of Brisbane. I see quite a few Americans, Bonnies etc but only a few Sprints.

IMO Brisbane, Noosa and Toowoomba have a good after sales service and I think that that helps.

AND the temp is pretty good all year round for riding as iceman said -especially Triumphs!!

sales of Triumphs in Australia are about double Ducati and have just gone past BMW.
I seem to recall it's the four big Japs then H/D then Triumph if we're talking just on road stuff.

Sales of Triunph are now around the 1500 a year mark which is a per capita equivalent of probably 2500 in Canada and 21,000 in the States

well until this year, with Mladin in the AMA Superbike series we thought we had :-) .

Spies beating his teammate this year will make next year interesting if Mladin decides to race one more year.

Now if only the Daytona 675 was able to be in World Supersport with an Aussie rider :hammer:

Nahhh, we're much too lazy fer that .....

Who'd want to take over the world ?, I mean you'd have to mow the lawns, and take out the garbage...***** that, we'll let America keep the job :-D

we'll just sit back here, enjoy our sunshine, and remember how good we have it here
