He just got back from a triumph dealer meeting.

He said the 07 ST has tried to return the bike to a more touring orientated ride by changing the fairing (taller screen) and raising the bars up several inches. He sat on one and said it was very similar to the way it was prior to the latest model.

If thats true I for one am glad. I am in the market for a good sport tourer and the new model is a bit radical in riding position compared to prior year models.

He said they arent due until May here in the states and that the price hasn't changed.

It's been only 12 days since I got the key and rode my new Sprint home. I've scheduled my 500+ service for this Friday. I was debating before hand whether I should have waited for the '07's or take the 2.9% offer on the remaining '06's. I'm going to check out the '07's when they come in to see what they are really like. Perhaps a trade in may be in order. I dunno. I really like the way the bike looks now. Not sure if I'll like the taller screen and higher pulled back bars. Plus I need to see that new "Tornado" red to compare to the Sunset red color of mine. I see that the price has remained unchanged but the fuel capacity is posted as 5.2 gal. Mine's listed as 5.55 gal.

The Tornado red is the same red as the 675. Personally, I like the Sunset red much better.

If you want a taller windscreen and higher bars you can always add them on your current bike.

Don't take the deprecitaiotn beating by trading an '06 on an '07. Save your money and spend it on suspension and brake upgrades.

I like the Sunset Red better, too.

The bars and screen are pretty minor. If you decide that you like the new set up better, i'm sure you could find someone who doesn't to swap with.

The only thing i really see worth waiting for is the new FI unit. It sounds like a better unit and will get a few extra mpg. Otherwise the bikes are pretty much the same.

I think it's really funny that the price will stay the same, but it now includes the hard bags. I guess they've been free so long that they can't really justify $1k for them any more. It makes me wonder how they can just toss in such an expensive item. Either they're not worth very much, or Triumph is taking a big hit giving them away.

Unless you have money to burn, keep your bike for at least a couple years or else you'll be upside down in your financing.

I was curious about the FI unit also. Rumor has it better MPG, more memory and a few extra HP. I'm curious if we could swap this unit into our 06 without any problems??

The reach to the bars is actually less on my 06 than it was on the 01 I had.
