02 ST alternative oil filter - in OZ ?

G'day folks.

Sorry if this has already been answered, but I am looking for the correct alternative oil filter for my 02 ST. I recall something about the synthetic oil does need some special type of filter media ??

ie: if it looks the same ( fits ) it may not necessarily work the same ??

Can one of the OZ members on a 02/04 that changes their own oil let me know - also, stockists if possible..

purone? Goto a honda dealer and you can get the same filter Triumph uses for 1/3 the cost. Search for an oil thread and see if you can gfet any of the filters listed.

Looked a bit closer - got my own answer..

Available in OZ is the Purolator L14610 Oil Filter (3.5" long) from
http://www.gimmecarparts.com.au/

( the L 14612 is identical to the OEM at 2.5" long )

I ordered 3 x L14610 , cost delivered $29.50 actual shelf price about $6.50 each.

I expect these are available in some of the auto shops but have not checked. They also fit a host of cars.

Now I WILL :-D change the filter each time I change the oil.
