Can anyone out there help me with some pics or dimensuions on the hard bag mounts on the pre '05 bikes?
I can fabricate my own if I have enough info...hopefully cleaner looking than the original.

thanks, TM

Thanks, but the pre '05 mounts are quite a bit different.

Hi,

I can post some pictures of them off the bike (the plastic rails they actually hang off if you wish, but there is a fair amount of additional steel that goes inside the back end of the bike to take the load and brace the subframe that wouldn't photograph too well

Contact STern from this forum, I know he has the side cases for sale, you might be able to get the brackets, too. Here`s his details.

St Ern

What's involved in removing the 2003 ST pannier mounts, and can it be done without having to put back something that may have been replaced by my dealer when he installed the mounts?

trumpyfan60:
If you're considering removing your mounts I'd be interested in 'em.

I don't plan on parting with the mounts or the bags unless I part with the whole bike--just want to be able to remove the mounts between trips (which are far too few and far between.
