Noticed that there may be a big shake up with dealerships, with Triumph wanting to opt for a dedicated rather than multiple dealership.
May be next time I buy a new Triumph I might be treated as an equal to the drop kick's who walk in to PS in Ringwood and get offered the "Harley owners or want to be's only" compimentary coffee, while I write a fat cheque for my new bike and get offered sweet FA.
Roll on the day we get a real Triumph dealership in OZ, so complacent are they at present that the Oz importer were the only major bike company that could not be bothered representing themselves at the GP expo.

PS really do have the Triumph market stitched up in the south.

There are a few up here in Brisbane and they are all pretty good which keeps them (mostly) honest and competitive..

The guy here in Toowoomba doesn't go out of his way to suggest cheaper alternatives but will take direction and get non T bits when requested.. His main line is Suzuki with a decent smattering of Harleys and Triumphs!!

Heard the same idea here with my new Triumph dealer. They shared how difficult it was to get started.

It seems your exactly right. Triumph is attempting to discourage dealers from holding multi licenses. A dedicated Triumph dealer will/ought to remain 100% dedicated to you, the customer.

Hope this works

It will be interesting to see what happens in Toronto, as the current sole Triumph dealer in the city (McBrides) has recently gone into receivership.

Many rumours have been going around about who will/can pick up the line.

Unless things have changed, I believe there`s only one 'dedicated' Triumph dealership in the whole of Australia, which is TeamMoto Triumph in Brisbane (Springwood). Every other shop sells them alongside at least 1 other marque. I spoke to Phil Hudson from Triumph, who informs me that almost half of Australia`s Triumph sales are in SE QLD. My local dealer MotoArena sells Cagiva, MVAgusta, Husqvarna as well but he does sell more Triumphs than the other marques. The servicing is inexpensive and the mecs are very experienced with Triumphs, so I guess I`m very lucky.
