So, he rides to the station this morning, sticks the disk-lock in and .... starts looking for the helmet lock....
THERE ISN'T ONE !!!
So, i suppose the question is, how do you store your helmet securely to your bike ?

Correct, there isn't one to be found,,
A pity considering the relative value of the bit of metal that it is.. Some folks fit the bar end lock or wire it through the disk lock..

This works for a buddy of mine ... a little pricey for me, but it beats losing a helmet to sticky fingers. They might ship to Oz.

I've got the bar end lock on mine. I can't remember if the site is barender.com or barenders.com. Aerostich.com also sells them.
It's been on for 3 or 4 years and it works nice.
I think there are still pics in my photo album.

I have that same lock. Got it at a BMW dealer. I took one of the locks off and cut down the bracket to shorten it, redrilled some holes and reattached the lock. It looks really clean and it is functional. Only draw back...one more key to carry.

some where on this site i saw a picture ,where some one had fashioned a hook out of flat bar and bolted it on under the seat on one of the cross braces ,simply take the seat off and hook the helmut loop on the hook and replace the seat.
may try it my self, i've been using a small cable lock until now

I carry a padlock permanently clipped through the passenger peg mounting bracket for just such a purpose.
slip it thru the helmet buckle then re-attach to the bracket. The helmet'll hang just under the peg on the LHS with gloves tuckes away inside it.

Always wondered something on this........
Do you guys ever worry about someone just cutting the strap with a knife and taking said helmet? My assumption is that the cost to replace the strap would negate stealing it in the first place, but I always wondered about it.

Being one of the reasons that I don't leave my helmet on my bike.. There are too many losers that are only too happy to f##k with your investment when the opportunity is there.
I personally really try to look after my helmet and would feel remiss leaving it locked on my bike IMHO - maybe 30 years ago, but not with the d##kheads around today.
