Hey 2ndSpace,

As a matter of curiosity for me (tyre nut) do you know what donuts dave was running on the Uly?
I didn't recognise that tread pattern :???: :???:
Thanks again for an interesting post & link.
Also by "Jacks" as in "Jack in the box" is that a fast food outlet for pancakes? Which I now you American gents enjoy for breakfast.
Please help a poor uneducated down under type

They are the dounlop D616. I had ordered those for my Sprint but the shipper applied the wrong lable And got Scorpion Syncs. I know they are designed after the Moto GP rain tire and feature a cut resistent tread. I will ask him how he like them. He rides hard like you and I. :-D
Thems would flap jacks in south west.

Thanks 2ndSpace,
I thought it looked like a wet weather race tyre that's why I was so curious, I havent seen or heard of that tyre.
Is it similar then to the Michelin Pilot Race tyres?
The Michelin Pilot Race tyre is available here for sale for road use.
It comes in "soft", "Medium" and "hard" but only the "Medium" is able to be sold for road use in Australia.
As for breakfast I prefer cereals in the summer and porridge in winter
I would very much like to know more about your friend Dave's tyres. Are they available in a dry road legal semi slick like the Michelins?
