Well guys as you know, the Ants ate my wiring.. well thats fixed.. but remember how I said I was worried about the dealer as customers come last ..well!!!!!
GUESS WHAT!!!!!!!!!

They bought the bike out and a huge scratch was down the side of the fairing and a rub mark where they had the tied down the bike to the ute..
This is a brand new bike (well 1 yr old) and its goes into a bike shop without a scratch and comes out with gouges.. whats wrong with that!!

My main concern is that they bought the bike out said here ya go and no one even mentioned the bike had been damaged in transit... I guess they were hopin' we wouldn't notice huge bike white marks on the side of a pretty blue bike!!!

To their credit they took it back and said they will fix it.. however I will see what the end result is before I decide I am satisfied or not. "> "> NOT HAPPY!!!!!

Seems they are more keen in getting new bikes out on the road and not worrying about those that come in for repair.. really it shows as a care factor of ZERO. at that place

I can understand why you'd be p1ssed off. It gives me the pip when they do it but don't have the decency to admit to it.

Do you have a choice of dealers in the top end?

I wish!!
No we have one dealer and as you can see service is pretty poor... I ride with the Ulyssess club and no one in that club will go near him anymore as he has provided such bad service for Harleys too.
I know other Triumph owners who've had no end of trouble with the dealer too..
sad we are isolated and dont have the opportunity of choice :???:

One of the hassles of isolation !!.

I too have (really) only one option, but luckily for me they are pretty good. A little expensive on some things but willing to part with educated experience and real world advice that doesn't cost you every time..

It's a pity that they don't care as much as they should sometimes..

Lucky me :-D , unlucky you..

Sorry 'bout the hassles Jen,
sounds like an opening for a good Harley/Triumph dealer in your neck of the woods!

Yep,
I reckon I could do that.

Just need a few things to get started Jen.

1) Aircond workshop

2) knowledge about mechanical things :???:

3) Money to start up with

4) the desire to get my hands dirty :-D

5) Someone to work for me that knows wot he's is looking at and how to fix it who likes getting his hands dirty! :-D :-D

So............................. ya reckon ya all ready for me to open a bike mech shop at the top end or wot!!!

DaveM,

It seems your 'highly qualified' to start a new shop. What's the hold-up?

Bundyon_Jen,

As farfetched as it might sound, DaveM does have another option. Maybe you could be the catalyst to finding the right people for starting one. Unfortunately it might take several years to get it open, but it is an option. And you would be the perfect candidate for head of quality of service dept.

Just thoughts from a visionary.

The local and probably only Triumph dealer on long islands exact words are, " I'm not interested in service, just sales"

Don't you just hate it when people are so quick to get your cash then forget thier responsibilities to you the customer.

Ever thought of dropping an email to Triumph might not achieve anything and I know you won't want to ***** on your own doorstep but!!!

You could always accidentally leave a scratch on the dealers BMW, it won't achieve much but it should make you feel good for a few minutes.

Did I say that? :hammer: :hammer:
