I figure this has already been announced but in the latest issue of Cycle World (aug.04) there's an announcement that Triumph has issued a recall for the plastic fuel fittings.
NHTSA Campaign ID No. 04V156000
Recall date: March 24, 2004
Affected models: Datona T595 &955 '97-04; Speed four'02-02; Sprnit RS' 00-04; Sprint ST '99-04; Speed Trip '97-04; Tiger '99-04; Tona 600 )4; TT600 00-04.
Number of units affected: 18,998
Problem; They leak we know that!
Remedy; Dealers will replace the connectors. Owners who do not receive the FREE remedy within a reasonable time should contact Triumph at 678/854-2010

Can't wait to stop at Erico tomorrow to see what is a "reasonable time frame"

Well, talked to the dealer on Saturday.
So far they haven't heard when the "fix-it" parts will be available, so "check back in a couple of weeks"

That sounds like a typical Erico answer for many things......They are not going to replace them with metal fittings. They will be plastic also. I went ahead and put the metal fittings on.

I'm sure this has been discussed a thousand times, but can someone tell me where to get the metal fittings and what the part numbers are? I'd just as soon spend a few bucks out of my own pocket and fix it right the first time.

Amazin!
My bike just started to leak the day before yesterday! I called my dealer today, and he told me it was a fairly common problem (understatement) and that the fix-it kit was about $8.00 (probably $12.00) But if it's a recall deal....
Yeh, I'm with you. Where can I get the metal gizzy?

I have just contacted Team Triumph (Janesville WI) for details of the kit for myself & they have the fuel fitting kit you are looking for. The part is TTFKE-1 for $85.00 plus $15.00 for shipping and handling. The kits are currently on backorder until the 19th of this month. The shipping / handling costs are for delivery to Australia so you should get it cheaper in the US. Their website is http://www.rideteamtriumph.com/intro.htm
Hope this helps

Holy Crap!!! $85.00!!?? Even if the U.S. is a "few bucks cheaper...". I'll let them do it unde recall. Gotta call Bill and see what he can do, as my bike will be in all next week for the 12K service while I'm away...
