Yo !! No, I don't REALLY talk like that. I was working on the bike the other day, put it back together (correctly, I thought) and now it won't start. I put on the new upgrade Triumph
metal fuel connectors in place of the plastic ones, then changed one gasket from the airbox to the throttle body because it had deformed and was allowing unfiltered air in. Once I put it back together it would turn over but not start. I tore it down again, looked it over, thought that I had hooked up everything right, and the same thing happened again. There is one somewhat tied off electrical connection sitting unhooked- up on top of the tranny case, but I looked everywhere but could not find anything that seemed remotely like a matching connection. A Euro-only connection not used on North American bikes ? An unsolved mystery. Next I will check for spark so as to at least determine if the problem is spark or fuel. Any ideas, bros ? Appreciate your input. :???:

Hey Jeffster !! Thanks for that sage advice. But I kind of feel like I'm in a vacuum here on the site. Can't tell if it's a Hoover or a Eureka or maybe an Oreck, but it kinda sucks.

Jeffster - can you hear an echo?

As you say - hard to pick the problem - but a good clue would be in does it have a spark? Of course you will have checked your kill switch.
Did you have the tank off? - I think there is a vacuum hose from the engine that allows the fuel to flow/checked for pinched pipes?

The electrical connector is probably a red herring as there are a few spare connectors on most bikes - it would be good to compare with another one.

good luck!

Grant

Thanks Grant, for the advice. I'll check for a vaccum hose from the engine and see if I missed it. I'll check for spark, too. I'll give it one more shot before I give up and try to get a mobile moto mechanic out here.
