Would something like this be suitable? I expect it would come with instructions.

There's an existing point to plug in an accessory outlet that corresponds to the one on the ST. All you have to do is purchase the outlet. The stock one's a little expensive, but Powerlet makes one, as does John Deere, that are the same, but cheaper. Sorry, I don't have the numbers for them. Best luck.

There is a dangling 2 prong connector above the gearbox on the bottom of the injector loom. tis the factory connector for an accessory plug. It runs through a 10A fuse.

you can mount the powerlet anywhere you want. I put mine on the left side fairing, next to the heated grip switch.

Found the outlet socket and contacted powerlet. They said they do not have a connector, but I should source a triumph connetor and fit using spade connectors. Can I not buy a plug and play socket? This is what powerlet suggest fitting.

That's the plug I used.

As for the connector, I just picked up a weatherproof connector with pigtails from an electronics shop, and cut off the factory plug.
