Sorry not what you think :-D

This is just to let you know that these guys

The Tankslapper

now have a full protection kit for the ST from 2000 onwards.I have been talking to them about it for some months and know they have gone to some trouble to get it.I think for putting up with my nagging the least they deserve is a free plug here.

I have ordered the kit.Would I be game not to?Will let you know how well it went on and how it works once I get it.

Thanks
Neil

I got their tank protection kit for my RS, went on pretty easily. One word of advice - they tell you to NOT get the white backing paper wet before you remove it from the vinyl pieces! Follow that advice, otherwise the wet backing paper will leave a white residue on the clear vinyl.

Needed to use denatured alcohol to remove it before the clear vinyl looked decent.

It disppears on your bike when you're done, you have to look really closely to see the edges.

Yeah, I called 3m to find out where I could buy sheets of it, they gave me a number called them up and I got a couple metres of the stuff for a reasonable, price.
I have been for warned by my street rodder friends to not use it as it goes yellow after 18mths and will peal the paint off when trying to remove it. So it aint going on my street rod until I'll have tested it on the bike. first on some forgiving areas first.

I think I'll be chasing up a tank bag first.
