Had my fairing off this weekend and noticed an unused electrical connector, 3 prong and yellow inside, that was part of the same loom as the left turn signal.
Any ideas as to what this is used for??

Thanks, Mark

Possibly an alarm? Check Haynes. The wiring diagram should tell you what you are looking at.

I found that plug also when I installed my rack, which instructed one to remove the motion sensor. I bet that is what it is for. Interesting that it is pre-wired, think they would provide it as an option.

I was thinking it might be for an alarm also. I'll ask next time I'm at the dealers.

Hi All,
Do you think it might be for heated grips? They are prewired for those.
