I am hoping that someone has found a solution to the too narrow set Sprint RS mirrors.

Has anyone found extenders that work for the RS. I have only found extenders for the ST, do these also fit the RS?

Has anyone found replacement aftermarket mirrors that fit the RS, that fix this problem?

I saw a pair that had the mod (last year) on this site but they looked really clunky and fugly. FWIW I just tuck my elbows in, alternately so I don't take off !!

The Honda VTR mirrors do the trick with a bit of modifying but I am not sure I'd bother, unless you have longer arms than me !!

I too am unhappy with the mirors on my recently acquired RS, so I emailed Jack Lilley about the extenders they used to sell. Kath Lilley thought that the manufacturer had discontinued them, but is checking with them. I'll pass on the reply when it comes.

Cheap mod - pull your elbows in when you look behind.

If they were any wider I'd be concerned when going between cars (at the lights) !!

Jack Lilley can get the extenders for the 1998-04 Sprint ST, but not the RS. They will cost approximately 60GBP. I have a photo but wasn't sure how to attach to this post, so if anyone is interested, please email me. I think I'll persevere with standard, and practise pulling in my elbows, as recommended. steventhechef and boredinocala are right, I don't want my beloved RS looking like Dumbo!

Thanks for the feed back.

Yeah I don't want to make my RS look like Dumbo either. But I hate the fact that Dumbo could sneak up behind my RS, and the only thing I would see is my own elbows :-D

But the easy fix is tucking in my elbows, and moving a bit from side to side.

I just installed the mirror extenders from SkyKing (about USD60) and they are a very welcome addition. Sure, you can pull in your elbows but that is an extra motion. With the extenders I can have a quick glance whenever I feel like it WITHOUT moving my arms.

Here's an easy fix - go faster than the other traffic, then you only have to worry about what's ahead!
