Got a recall notice today for my 06 ST. (bought in May).
it is for the replacement of anti-rotation device rear brake caliper carrier. Any body else got it yet and does anybody have any more info on it?

Gazz, I got the letter today as well. Bought my bike about the same time as you too.
Triumph sell around 100 STs a month in the UK so we won't be alone!
All the complaints about the brakes concern the front so Triumph do a recall for the rear!
I suspect that there will be a lot of posts on this topic.

I just read HERE that there is a new service bulletin out on the front brake piston seals. Ostensibly to deal with the sticking piston problem.

The delivery of mine has been delayed (slightly) for this recall. The dealer said it is basically a bolt for the rear brake caliper? My know more tomorrow

I rang Team Moto Blacktown today and spoke to Shane. He's a good lad, he hadn't read the bulletin yet but acknowledged he'd got it and said he'd ring back.

He rang back this afternoon and said it will be at least a couple of weeks before anything can be done as Triumph need to bring the parts in from the UK and distribute to dealers.

He confirmed it's a bolt that may fracture but there have been (according to Triumph Oz) no reported incidents here in Oz.

That's it for the moment - without having seen the recall.... Oh the last thing he mentioned was that Triumphs' communication (he had the UK one) to the dealers said they would be announcing the recall in letters to customers from 28th Aug. So it looks like they screwed up their mailout in the UK and wen early before everything was ready.

I did not get the letter, but I was checking into a recall on the rear radiator hose for my bike and the shop said there is a bolt they have to replace as well.. So they know to do it when I take it in on the 15th of September. Only 6 weeks from when I called to make the appointment for second service.

It would appear that the parts are on order... I phoned my dealer to make an appointment but they waid they would call me when the part came in. Any idea how safe/unsafe to ride until this mod is done?
