the plan was to buy one on my 40th, then it moved to my 39!
LOL well the dealer incentives were too good.

Silver 2006 Sprint St ABS.

I was so close to getting the Speed triple. rode them back to back. The Sprint felt like we were together for years.
what an amazing bike.

I hand over the dough on Tuesday.

Looking forward to learning about the bike..

Just got mine yesterday. In red! I'm breaking it in by the book, so I have yet to experience the fun factor. (300 miles)

Hey,
First, Congrats!! Now how weird is this? I got myself a Silver 06 for my 39th too. Same deal, I went to the dealer dead set on a Speed Triple but rode the a Sprint first for fun. I took it for a second ride after I rode the Speed Triple and that was it.

So Happy Birthday. Have a great Tuesday.

Hey BMW where did you buy yours? I was supposed to meet a BMW rider to allow him to ride my Sprint at Pure Triumph in Ft. Lauderdale. I managed not to make it. You the guy?

hey guys,

here's me:

38, married 11 yrs, 2 kids. son 5, daughter 3

Started riding at age 11. rode for about 9 yrs on dirt bikes.
had a 14 yr gap. then bought a 2002 KLX300 and started riding trails (mostly logging roads) do a 150kms and get a nice picture all about stress relief....
well the logging roads...lead to single track trails..... and my ex... all black 2003 KX250 all done up. Wheelied in every gear! (you could flip it with a roll on) angry bike. I loved that torque.

we loved to "dance the rear wheel tango" thus my forum name.
it came to a screeching halt ....about 5 months ago on a huge multi-boulder climb...
a hill that I looked forward to everytime we rode that area... well... it got the best of me... I climbed up twice and came back down trying to master a flawless climb. ( I kept landing sideways on the top.) anyway I tried for a 3rd attempt... I was a little too out of breath....and hit found a bad line....bailed over backwards and landed on the rightside ....full weight of the bike.... first thing to hit was my shoulder! so off the second boulder onto a cut off tree. it was shaped like a wedge. So it was a blunt hit and tore all of the ligaments (5) off of my right shoulder (drawing hand side). its called a 3rd grade AC separation. it cuased me some nerve damage within my drwain hand (just during the initail swelling... So I knew I had to quit.

So I packed in the dirtbike trailer sold it all. and bought a
a 2006 Ninja 650. put 5500 kms on it .
A great budget bike. wheelied in first and second by just rollons!

I made the mistake of riding he Sprint ST

So here I am. looking forward to this. can't think of much else.

pick it up tomorrow.
will post a picture!

cheers and thanks for the welcome.

Hello Jim,

Yeah, that was probably me. Pure Triumph did not have a demo and would not take my K1200RS on trade unless they had it sold. Thus, I ended up going over to Ft. Myer's BMW/Triumph. I know the owner and they took my bike on trade.
I hope Pure Triumph does not hold it against me if I need some service there.
