Okay - got my new '06 red ST today -- ride back to Des Moan was hot ... especially near "Frank & the beans"...

I've got the seat off - now what...seems to be coming in from around the tank and where the seat mates up to the plastic...

I'm thinking foam - but what else can a guy use..??

BTW - N I C E S C O O T.....wow what a nice ride this is -- cannot wait to wind up the triple....zoom freakin' zoom

okay back to the heat thang...

so what'll we do 'bout dis??

Not that I own one, but,

There is a heat shield that goes with the later model 06's that needs to be retrofitted to the 05/06 model with out it.

Talk to your T dealer

Apparently makes the roast chestnut difference!!

This topic has been discussed at length on this site and others.

The front brakes, factory luggage, replacement seat, rear hugger, handle bars risers, suspension set up and decaying rubber straps for the battery and relays are issues that have also been thrashed out.

Do a search on these and you will find a lot of info.

You will love this bike more and more with every ride.

Hope this helps,

Brett.
