Anyone here interested in a Sargent seat for their '05+1050 Sprint? I've contacted them, and they stated they didn't haven't seen much interest for the seat. So, I'm just wondering what you all say out there. I for one would be interested in anything that will let me ride longer than 300 miles without wanting bail off! Thanks in advance.

F***en OATH!!!

It they were to make a World Sport model similar to the one I had for my 99 ST, I would buy it straight away.

I have looked into using their custom seat service. This would bring about the results I'm after, but by the time I get hold of a stock seat pan and get it to them and have it shipped to Australia, the cost is well over $1000.00 AUD!

I know people have gone with Corbin, but there seems to be a 50/50 divide on the results especially with quality control and fitting.

SR has a Rick Mayer and seems happy with that, but I'm in the same boat as Sargent if I were to go that way.

Brett.

Brett,

I had a Corbin on my FJR and absolutely HATED it! I will NEVER own another Corbin! I ended up with a Russell Day Long on the FJR, but I don't think one of those would look too good on the Sprint. That's why the interest in the Sargent. I saw somewhere where someone had a Mayer seat, it looked good too. Just exploring my options.

I sent Sargent an email a bit ago asking about availability of a seat for the new Sprint, but all I heard was they would send my inquery to their R&D department.

Guess I'm going to forced to go with Corbin. Freakin' wankers!

I too e-mailed Sargent. They forwarded my request to R&D who sent me a reply stating they were currently working on a prototype & hoped to have one ready in 3-5 months time. I e-mailed them almost 3 months ago. Maybe if we all get together & e-mail them at once it will put some pressure on them to make one. How many people are interested & look at their website, see there isn't one available and move on never saying anything.

I will e-mail them again.

You guys might want to determine if Sargent will modify your stock seat, and how long it would take.

Their development time is for a complete seat with their nifty seat pan.

FWIW, I looked into Sargent's custom service (my brother has a Sargent on his Aprilia and loves it), but did not want to be without my seat while they did their magic, so I ordered the Corbin.

I just installed it last weekend and must say I'm very happy with the on-time delivery, quality packaging, instructions and hardware, fit/finish and so far it has felt very good. I have not done more than 100 miles at a time since I put it on, but so far it seems like money well spent!

Last night my GF went for the first ride with me since I installed the new seat and she liked it as well. She said it was a bit wider and taller and she could see over me now (I'm short) and that it was more comfortable for her as well. It also does not slope as much in either seating location which keeps my from sliding into the tank and her from sliding into me like was always the case with the stock seat.

I'd buy a Sargent Seat for for 06 Sprint if it was avail...my buddy with a Honda ST1100 has one and he's very satisfied with the long-haul qualities of the seat.
I too will e-mail Sargent and express interest in getting one.

I called Sargent about a month ago about a seat for my '06. They said one was being developed and would contact me when it was ready. I'm just about to buy a Corbin (had one on my '02 ST) . I don't know of anyone else that has one for '05-'06. The Corbin was OK but overpriced. Dale
