I'll be picking up my customized seat from Sargent on Friday, and should be able to tell y'all on Saturday night how it is
I brought them my seat last Friday, and if everything works out, I will have a seat that is level - front to back - slightly wider, slightly dished, and much, much better than the one I brought them.
And all that for US$299.-.

You know, that's kinda cruel to be rubbing that in! Make sure when you pick it up to tell them to get after it and make the rest of us a bolt on seat! Can they use your bike/seat for the test bed?

Pictures, pictures, pictures, please!!!!!
A description of what they did, foam used etc would also be great.
Cheers,
Brett.

First of all, sorry, no pictures until tomorrow.
Picked up the seat yesterday, and got it on the bike last night. Only complaint so far is that it doesn't fit as closely to the tank as the original. A slight opening there. You'll see it tomorrow when I get the pictures up. Otherwise, it looks great.
Took it out this morning. Funny how a leisurely ride always seems to turn into a high-speed romp covering several counties...
After about 200 miles, I really had to get off and stretch my legs, and give my back side a rest. That's about 100 miles longer than before. Then after about 15 minutes, I was ready for another 100 miles or so. Then I was home.
So far; worth the money. A substantial improvement over the original. However, your mileage may vary. I'm 235 pounds, and that is right out of the shower - before I put on any of the heavy stuff you need for riding, like deodorant and after shave. Actually sitting on the bike, in normal riding gear, I'm quite a bit more, and that is probably coloring my impression.

OK, it seems like the photo posting/album creating process is suspended or not working, and I have no way of posting pictures here. So here's a link that should take you to them:

I'll try to get some better pictures later, when I have some time to move the bike around and get the light right.

I know that there has been a good deal of flack thrown at Corbin, mostly because of customer service, but mine is great. Much better and more comfortable for long rides than the stock seat 06 Sprint seat. I got it in about 10 days, the fit was perfect the installation no problem. I went through a Corbin dealer and got a better price than on line. I feel it was well worth the price, and I would get another.

Here is the reply from Sargent...I guess it depends who gets the message. So, if there is any one in FL willing to donate their ST for a little, you can help out the rest of us & get free stuff for doing so!
Hi Alan,
Thanks for contacting Sergeant!
We have been struggling with this one for some time now. We have found it very difficult to find a local (Jacksonville FL) owner that could lend us the bike for the development time required. We would need the bike here periodically (approximately four to eight times) for around three or five days each visit. If you have any leads please forward them to us. They will receive free product fort their trouble. FYI- our R&D facility is a fully enclosed air conditioned building with full 24HR monitored security.
FYI- Interim PFU solution:
Anyone can send their stock Sprint seat in for a Premium Foam Upgrade (PFU). This is a process by which we upgrade (by hand) the stock foam, adding our Super Cell Foam to your stock base pans. The end result is a product that is similar in shape and comfort to the eventual World Sport Performance Seat, but at a reduced price. NOTE : This process will only be available for a limited time until the World Sport Seat product is becomes available. Because we use 3D templates for this work and values are know, turnaround time is usually quick approximately 5 business days in house (late Summer - Winter) subject to seasonality. Also, many people purchase a second seat for this purpose.
If you are interested, please contact Rudi at 1-800-749-7328 (M-F 9:00 to 5:00, FRI 9:00 to 12:00 EST) for more details.

I got the same response the other day, looks like I may have to check elsewhere.
