Apologies if this has been asked already, but I'm curious abou the top speed (at redline) in each gear. Is there a list out there? I'm usually too busy to make notes when I'm going any faster than 60....

All calculated and in mph:

The fuel cut RPM shows up as 9450 in Tuneedit.
65.9
92.5
116.6
139.5
156.2
167.8

The red starts at 10k on the tach.
69.8
97.9
123.4
147.6
165.3
177.5

The shop manual lists 10900 rpm for the rev limit setpoint.
76.0
106.7
134.5
160.9
180.1
193.5

Subtract ~5% for loaded tire deformation.
Also, you aren't likely to rev limit in 6th or possibly 5th without JATO boosters.

Any good sources for the JATO's and some installation tips?

Any Air Force base.

For the install I suggest either custom titanium bracketry or duct tape. Duct tape is probably the safest.

This probably won't cure the '05/'06 cowl heat issue. Asbestos chaps may be in order.

Post the video.

Thanks for the help... and for the advice on the boosters. I think, however, that the 1050cc motor is plenty capable of getting me into trouble all on its own!

Ahhh, yes it is. If you're lucky the LEO will be a rider and have never seen a sprint before and will let you off you're 88 in a 60 zone offense for the privilege of a look-see. Do not ask how I know this!

Hummm, I've been close - in Germany I have had it at 10k rpm in 5th a couple of months ago. Don't know how fast I was going as I was way to busy doing other things
