Welp, I've caught the bug. I've loved the redesign on the sprint since it came out, and looking at one in person while my buddy was buying a ducati has almost sold me on one.
I'm planning on taking the bike for a test ride tomorrow, but what do you think of this deal.

06 Sprint ST, listed as a demo but only has 33miles on it.
They'll give me some discount due to it being a demo, I'd get the hard bags, and I'm going to trade in my 03 Speed Four. I can walk away with the bike for about 7200, signed, sealed, delivered. Does this sound like a good deal to y'all?

If that includes all taxes and title and registartion fees, then it isnt bad. What shape is your speed four in? Is this an ABS model Sprint?

Id say if its a non ABS and the S4 is in good shape you might be able to do better.

Either way, your gonna love that bike. Good luck with it.

The Speed is in good shape, only 4400 miles (I work out of country, belly pan, and Blue Flame exhaust (I might take it off and sell it seperatly). Non ABS ST.
I was thinking that selling the Speed instead of trading it in would help, but I'd rather not wait to make the purchase.
The price is including Tax, Tittle and Tag.

That does not seem like that sweet of a deal to me. I got my new '05 non-ABS a couple months ago for $9200 and will be getting the bags. Not sure what your S4 books at, but it doesn't seem like they're giving you much for it IMO.

Call Triumph of Windber (near Altoona/Johnstown). Small shop with what seems to be a great reputation for service. I traveled 120 miles from Harrisburg to get mine there.

They had a red non-ABS a couple weeks ago when I went out for the Thunder in the Valley motorcycle rally.

Kelley Blue Book Trade-In value for a 2003 Triumph Speed Four in average condition: $3135 in the Pittsburgh area.

FWIW, my 2006 ST w/ABS and panniers wheelied off the dealer's lot for under $12k last month, and we have 3% (sales) tax here.

Doesn't seem like a bad deal to me at all. I'm in the market for a new Sprint myself. In fact, I'll be trading in my bike also. That's a big part of the reason I picked the dealer I'm going to deal with. Don't feel like the hassle of placing an online ad, selling to an individual, waiting for their check to clear, transferring the title, etc. These guys offered me a fair price for my bike, have the bike I want, and will take care of the headaches for me. That's worth the extra money I might get if I sold it myself. Switching to the new bike will be a one day event, not a possible multi-week event.

I got 3300 trade in on the Speed Four (pulled the Blue Flame Exhaust off), and put my down payment on the bike this morning. I have to get my paperwork straight this weekend, and will be picking up my brand new (well 44 miles) Silver Sprint Monday morning...signed, sealed, delivered, not a payment to be made.
