How long for replacement bags (05)?

When I got the letter from Triumph regarding the replacement bags I called my dealer and told them to order some up for me. This was back in early April.
I called the dealer back mid May (two weeks before a trip to Deals Gap) and they told me they were'nt in yet but I was next in line to get them. Called them again last week (6/29) and they asked me for my VIN number and said they'd get back to me, which they of course did not. Called them today and asked what the progress was and they said (quite snotty) that they send them out when they send them out. Helpful.

So my question is this: Anyone being strung along this long or is it just my luck?

You're getting strung along IMHO

I had the old bags -- received my replacements several months ago. Sounds like someone there has dropped the ball.

If the dealer continues to play games -- call Triumph US customer service direct! The number is 678-854-2010 extension 1

Tell them what's up and light a fire under the dealers arse. There's no excuse for those customers who shelled out first (i.e. the old bags) to be put through yet another set of games.

Airsick, you're describing my situation to a T.In June when I called I was told that they would be in the next weekend.Maybe this week just seems long but I thought it was August now.I also ordered my heat shield and even gave them the part numbers that I found on this site.Maybe they will come this weekend(Ha!).Good luck.

Pound on your dealer. I bought a new Sunset Red on 6/28/2006, and the dealership had the panniers on hand maybe two weeks later.

(And they're still sitting on them -- I'm too busy riding to get them mounted!)

I drove my Sprint off the showroom floor June 10, 2006 and still have not heard anything about my panniers. It is getting to the point that I want to ask them if I can just have $1000 worth of parts and gear. I know they would probably say no but I am thinking about giving up on the Triumph Bags and go with Givi. Very frustrating. I have been on 2 long rides that they would have come in handy and have one more planned before the riding gets a little worse do to weather in Oregon.

I replaced mine, took a couple months to get in.
I'm right at 5 months. I called TriumphUSA on thursday and left a message for Peter Carleo detailing the issues I have been having getting my replacement bags and heat shield. He called me back on Friday and asked me to explain to him again the problems that I have been having.

So the saga continues.
