Bought my Sprint Saturday 4th June, 2005, since then have travelled 30,808ks, a couple of trips to Victoria, Queensland, a Triumph RAT raids to Poprt Macquarie and Bombla. Various weekend trips.
Parts replaced include - replaced oil and oil filter 4 times, I changed the oil and filter at approx. 6,000ks
5 tyres - 2 fronts, 3 rears
brake pads - 2 sets of rears, 1 front
1 air filter
1 sets of spark plugs
1 battery - replaced after 10 months not holding charge (YUSA battery not made in Japan) replaced with Deka battery more expensive than orginal gel pack battery.
All in all not to bad a report card (PS do you what I have done nothing to the brakes apart from replacing the pads, have been up and down some really tight mountain roads). :-D :hammer:

Nice one Bazza,

It is interesting to read how our bikes are performing.

My report card is sort of similar but I have owned mine since March '05 and done 24000kms. (only weekend riding)

My brakes are good. Will need pads soon in front and rear I expect.

Tyres mmmmm well......... um......... well.......... 11 actually :-D

6 rears
5 fronts

I don't know professor they just keep wearing out!!! :-)

All servicing by the dealer, except I change the oil and filter myself in between servicing at every 5000 kilometres.

Mostly shortish 300km blasts on the weekend plus two longer four day trips.

Hi Barry,
wow an 05/06 1 year on cool :-) . Is your's the blue that joined Steve, Det and I on the first Wollongong ride?

It's good that everything relates to running maitenance except for the battery.

2 sets of rears seems about the same as me. I put 1 set on at 13500K so it will be interesting to see how long the GOLDfren pads last.

I haven't done front yet, but they are due in about 16000K.

Have a good one.

Hi, yes mine was the Blue Sprint that when on the Wollongongt ride.
The next thing I must keep an eye on is the chain, plus next I want to do coolant plus changed brake fluid, I try do most of these things myself. If you can do these simple maintance chores the better.
My friend who has a Daytona got me a manual for the 05 off ebay.
I had the heatsheild done under warrranty, must wait till summmer to try if it works. FREE BY TRIUMPH.
Always mentioned this site to Triumph to get any warranty claims.
thats my soap box for now

Bazza, you missed a nice short/social ride the other day, when City Coast hosted a breakky bbq at Wollongong.

I remember you said you'd been lurking here but hadn't posted so when a newbie popped up I thought it might have been you. Welcome to the forum.

Hi Bazza, Dave and Rus,
Well, I passed 2 years on May10th. The story so far at 23,200kms;

Normal services needing no warranty work

One in-between warranty job, replacing the plastic fuel tank fittings with metal ones

Extras added include; Staintune, sheepskin seat cover, throttle rocker, 18T sprocket, Sigma BC1200 pushbike-type speedometer, and, just last week, a Triumph hugger (AUS$600 all up)

I've put on one set of Michelin Pilots and this means 4 tyres will have got me to 28,000kms or so before I replace with the same again.

I like many things about the new BMW R1200ST Page Title ,not least its adjustability but all in all I'd be many thousands poorer and in many areas no better off at all.
I'll probably add to the stable later rather than get rid of this bike

I guess I should add

On warranty issues I have had performed;
1) fuel connectors replaced
2) CF Race can replaced FOC with SS race can
CF can constantly leaked at front flange. Replacement was not argued about just sorted.

Extras fitted:

Triumph SS Race Can
Triumph Gel seat
Triumph rear hugger
Radguard oil and radiator protector grille
Ventura Packrack
RJays Large pack (bigger than Ventura one)
Dual head lamp relay
Datatool S3 Alarm system
18 tooth Front Sprocket (best money spent)
Triumph Risers sold to Tankman

I have not had any serious brake issues.
So far I have had no serious problems of any nature.
No problems cold starting. (not real cold where I live).

Bazza yes it would be good to be able to meet all of you guys.
