Took a 2hr ride to meet Rodney Brown at one of our SC Triumph dealers Saturday, Ridge Motorsports in Batesburg. I could not believe how BARE the "showroom" was. They had maybe, 6-7 new bikes on the floor. A couple of 955 Daytonas, Tiger, 675 Daytona, a Rocket III and a speed triple. Looked like a ghost town or something. The owner said he is already within 2 bikes of selling the same number he did in all of 2005.
I hope they are all doing that well.

This is fantastic. I am sure what's happening there is happening at most of the TR dealers. It the same at our local dealer, Phoenix International Motorsports - fine chaps, too.

That is great, I think. I have seen more and more 675 Daytonas in and around the Chicago land area so maybe there is something to this. Haven't seen any other Sprints besides mine and I am okay with that

I was up at MCC in Chicago the other day and those guys said the same thing. They had 24 more triumphs coming in from Hinkley the next week! Maybe all the great press about the Daytona 675 has got a lot of people going "Triumph, who are these guys?" and getting people to the dealers to check out just who totally sweet and kick ass their awesome bikes are.

The 675 had me considering trading in the 01 Sprint. I'm not even a sport bike kind of guy. I should be looking at a new Sprint, but the 675 is lighter, narrower and has better suspension. They styling blows the new Sprint away, too.

I was in the showroom thinking about how i could raise the bars and add luggage to the 675 instead of figuring out how to finance a new Sprint.

If they come out with a 1050 Daytona that looks like the 675, i'm seriously doomed.
