Ok, I just read in another thread where someone (who doesn't even own an 05-06 Sprint) must have had sour grapes about the bike and said your "leg will bake." I am here to tell you that since I have gotten the heat kit (free) my leg no longer "bakes," even in 90+ temps at long stoplights, even after the bike has ran for several hours.

I CAN feel a little more heat at 80+mph now in high ambient temps, but it is insignificant. The stop-and-go traffic heat issue is NO MORE on my bike.

The stop 'n go traffic heat issue never bothered me but if this kit is free I might look into it. Did you just tell your dealer to order you one?
If this only for the '05?

What does the kit involve? I've havn't really had a problem with it but it hasn't been that hot here yet and I've only had it for a week and a half.

The heat kit includes a foam piece for each fairing, a foam piece that goes under the tank (I didn't have them put this on, though I may in the future), and some fhiny tape. The two foam pads in the fairings do a great job.

You guys in Northern CA and MI may never see they day you need it. We've already had a few hot days here and I'm sure there are plenty more to come.

I asked my (new) dealer (Motorcycles of Charlotte) to order it and he had it in a week. They put it on for me. Thanks guys!

Your 06 should have it from the factory. The price is about $28 but most dealers I know of have provided it gratis.
