I'm sick and tired of dick-heads merging into my lane without even looking, especially on the interstate in rush hour traffic. I honk (beep beep), but with their windows up, the A/C on and the radio blasting or the cell phone crammed in their ear they don't hear a thing and just come right on over. Scary as hell! I just put a Stebel Nuatilus compact air-horn on my Sprint last night and man is it loud! Supposedly 130db and after getting it installed I believe it. Pain in the butt building a bracket for it and mounting it inside my left fairing right above the radiator fill cap, but I think it will be well worth the effort and might be the best $35.00 I ever spent!

The next jerk is going to think he/she started to pull over into a truck and will probably cream their rompers. Let them feel what it's like when they think they're paired off against something a lot bigger than they are for a change.

any chance you could post a picture of how and where you ended up mounting yours? I've got a par of the freeway blasters (I think that's what they are) but haven't found a place to mount them.

Love the airhorns! It's worth the price, just seeing the moment of panic in the cage drivers' eyes. First they're mad at you for scaring them, hopefully later they realize the reality of the situation. Though the one guy yelled at me for scaring him, "You were in my blind spot (he'd just about finished passing me and suddenly I'm not there?), and you wouldn't have been hurt bad , I wasn't goin' that fast." He realized his folly when another driver yelled at me to drag him out of his car "and kick his ass!"
Anyway, a GREAT investment! :hammer:

Yea, I've been thinking of gettng one of those. I was hoping to find a loud horn that would be a direct replacement of the lil meep meep that already comes standard.

Someone asked me what I don't like about my 06 Sprint and all I could think of was the horn.

I NEED one of those Stebel Nautilus dealies...

Off to google land!

The Staebel is a great choice. I wired mine with with a relay straight from the battery and it made a big difference in volume, too.

Yeah me too. I fitted the Stebel Magnum which is an electrically powered trumpet style horn that will fit where the disc horn is.

Waste of effort. Sounds like an adenoidal fog horn

I'm kinda curious about the HF80 and TM80 series. they look like they could be direct replacments and they are rated at 133 dB(A) while the Nautilus is 139dB(A). Has anyone tried either of those two Stebel air horns?
