I have removed the screen, and the panel beneath it. Now I am trying to remove the speedo cluster. How do I do it ?? It seems like I need to remove the plastic 'shroud' around it, but I can't see how - and am nervous about breaking it...... :???:

It is actually really easy. On the back of the cluster there are a couple of clips that slide out from the post. The whole cluster then comes sliding off, only wires hold onto it at that point.

Good luck,

Thanks - that did the trick.

I was taking all this apart in order to replace the lhs mirror, which is now done. However, while I am in there I thought I would take a look at swapping the low-beam bulbs and adjusting the beam a little skyward... I have read the threads regarding this, but cannot seem to locate the 'screw' talked about to adjust the beam height. I am assuming this is accessed from underneath, as it says it can be done without removing any body paneling - but I can't find it. Any ideas ??

Also, any recommendation on the best replacement bulbs would be welcomed - I have the 55w/H7U standards fitted at present.

Thanks again,

Andy.

Found them - screws/bolts on the back of the housing. The one toward the centre of the bike seems to adjust the height of the beam. I can't seem to move the high beam though - even though I am turning a similar screw on the rear of that ??

OK, here is a picture of the back of the housing, these are clips that slide off.

The center light is adjusted from the top, by removing the screen and the panel underneath. Its a small bolt offset to the right, if I remember correctly. Its a fine thread, so be prepared to crank away for a while. I experimented with mine quite a bit. Its very easy to end up possum spotting or illuminating a very bright spot on the road 20' in front of you.

Good luck!

Brett.
