What do I use? I've heard you can use either lighter fluid or finger nail polish remover, but want to be sure...

Thanks,

Don't know if you can get it over there, but eucalyptus oil is good for unsticking sticker glue without hurting the paint.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the stickers on the tank have a layer of clear on them, so it will be a bit of an operation to remove them.

The Triumph decals are applied under the clearcoat, but the warning stickers are just applied on top of the finish and fairly easy to remove.

I generally leave the bike sitting in the sun for a while to heat up the glue, then use WD40 or Goo-Gone to remove the stickers.

I used Goo-Gone, worked great, and no harm to the paint. My tank bag has caused more paint damage than the removal of the stickers. I have not found a good way to keep it from sliding side to side so a small wear mark on the front edge of the tank where the edge of the tank bag hits. I will buff it up and see if I can remove the scratches.
