Hi all

I know there are post on about luggage racks but I am look for feed back about luggagelocker. As I am here in Australia and they are in the USA I want to make sure the product good and how will it handle on the bike before ordering it. This is the link to the site
luggagelocker

Due to the Staintune pipe I have got on my 04 ST and where my blinker are.(See pic below) I can not use normal Ventur rack so it just leave me with this type of bag.

We were think of cutting the black plastic guard off and make a custom guard for it, so we move the binkers, number plate and rego sticker on it, so we could fit a normal Ventur rack on it. but I am not to sure on this idea due to the extra spray I mite get riding in the rain and changing the whole look of the back of the bike

But hay I am open to any ideas.

So all your comment well be great or if you have any other idea how I can get a rack onto my bike.

I can't speak to the tail bag issue, but I have a Luggage Locker tank bag and am WELL satisfied with the quality/functionality.

Yea, I have the tank bag and the laptop bag and I love them both. I've talked to Les (Luggage Locker owner) a lot and he's a great guy to work with.

I have the Luggage Locker tail bag and I'm quite happy with it. I've had the the bag loaded with a gallon of milk, whole roasted chicken, 1lb tub of potatoes and 6 jars baby food with room to spare and both side compartments available. Quality canvas and zippers. As far as being lockable...I suppose it keeps the honest honest. I don't bother. Coupled with the Givi t411 throwovers; I've got all the storage I need for a several day trip.

Are the tail bags waterproof or do they come with an all ver rain cover?

I have the tail pack and the tank bag and I really like them both! I do wish the tank bag had small zippered pouches on each side, like the tail pack, for small things which are handy to have easily to hand, such as change for parking meters or tolls, ear plugs etc.. Les is easy to work with and he will customize the bags for you within reason. I'm not sure how water proof the bag material is, but the zippers are all covered with flaps and that's where most leaks occur in luggage. Rain covers are available for all his bags. It's a really well made product. I like the easy remove-ability of the lock on tank bag when I stop to get gas and/or to transport my electrical gadgets in when I leave the bike parked somewhere where I can't watch it.

Les says they are water resistant. I got caught in the rain/hail once with the laptop bag on and by the time I got home, I was soaked, the laptop bag was soaked, but it was dry as ever inside the laptop bag. :-) I know he offers the lexan(?) material upgrade for some of his bags and that's supposed to be more resistant to water than the normal material.

Hey Detjan,

My '99 ST came with a Ventura rack. After a few thousand k's I stripped it down for a clean and discovered that the "L" brackets under the rear fairing had rubbed and worn a very neat section out of my expensive plastic. I've seen this happen on other ST's.

If you dont carry a pillion, I reckon the Luggage Locker bags that fit onto the pillion seat are the biz. That way you wont have to modify the rear end of you bike.

That pipe looks the good and I'm betting the triple howl is nice at full noise.

Brett.
