I am looking for some form of theft deterrent. It makes me nervous leaving the bike parked in a motel parking lot overnite when on the road. I am considering Lojack but it sounds very pricey. I'd prefer something more than just a disc lock, already have that.

Any good alarms etc.?

RickyT, I wish I could! I have a Scorpio CYL-300EX on mine but have had issues with the ignition disable module causing the bike to shut down. I don't know if the newer version of their alarm is any better but if you opt for a Scorpio my advice would be to pass on the ignition disable module. Otherwise it works fine!

i have the scorpio sr-i500se and I like it a lot. a bit on the pricey side but it has some nice features and I like the 2 way remote.

I have the Triumph Datatool S3 alarm system on my Sprint.
It imobilises the ignition and has a very sensitive nudge / motion sensor as well.

The alarm is very loud and definitely a deterant.

Having an alarm system can be annoying sometimes though.
(like if you forget it's on)

Depends what you want.
