I'm looking for advice about good biking roads & places to see from members across the pond. We leave next week and will be spending three days touring the Lake District and North Yorkshire area. Couldn't find a Sprint to hire but hopefully the ST 1100 will be a good compromise.

thanks

If you are going to the Lake District, you must do the Hard Knott and Wrynose Pass. You pick it up just outside Ambleside in Skelwith Bridge. Its amazing!!!

Also, the A684 from Bedale in North Yorkshire through to Kendal is another "must do". It takes you righty through the Yorkshire Dales.

Have fun,

Bob

Wish I'd seen this one earlier, I happen to live in North Yorkshire, would have gone riding with
you.
Lots of excellent rides in the area, hope you brought your rain gear!

I ride through the dales alot, trip to Scotland up the A1 is an easy ride (mostly "highway")
just be safe and watch your speed until you get the hang of the sudden turns and the crazy traffic this time of year
