Gents, I have the fairings off, looking for a switched power source to splice. I'm trying to power my radar detector and my GPS. Total amp draw should be <2 amps for the two, and there just so happens to be a 2 amp fuse in the fuse panel (the one in the lockable side pocket) for a "GPS" which I don't have on the bike...yet. The wiring is even there., but it goes back into the loom. Power is going to the fuse now, but doesn't turn off when the key is off...as is true for ALL of those fuses. SO, there must be a switch they're all going through, somewhere.

Basically I'm wondering if anyone has hardwired any little devices yet and where did you connect? Did you find switchable power?

Thanks!

Steve

Can't you utilise the socket left hand side near knee position. Made for plugging in external devices.See Manual.

Got it.

For anyone else who would want to do this, here's a way:

It isn't switchable, but it's so clean, I can't not do it.
