Has anyone installed these factory color-matched mirrors which run about $300 for the pair? If so, how time-consuming was the installation?

I have had my front fairing all apart and from memory you only have to take off the infills to get at the bolts associated with the mirrors, maybe the windshield to make it easier, but 2 bolts either side, un hook the signal light wire, put the new one in bolt it on and re hook the signal light wire. All and All should be about a 30 minute swap.

I wonder if it would make more since to remove and paint the originals. Might be a bit more time consuming, but it must be cheaper.

Has anybody come up with a way to cut down on the vibration?

While the mirrors are off that might be a good time to tinker. 8-)

I had the colour coded mirrors fitted from day one and can say that they transform the look of the bike, doesn't matter which route you go I think you'll be pleased with the new look. much more together and finished.

As said earlier in the thread you just have to take out the infills ind then you can get to the mounting bolts.
