Hey. I just tried the Spidi R2 Kangaroo one-piece and WOW, it is a beautifully made piece of kit. Snug fit but comfortable and easier to get on - and off - than other Spidi suits in the same size, nevertheless. The leather is so thin and soft. It weighs so little. Forearms, shoulders and knees are a nice snug fit. And the color scheme is relatively tasteful, not too flashy - I certainly do not want to look like a boy-racer. I am no knee-dragger but do place safety at a premium. And massive amounts of ventilation - hence the one-piece.

So, it's all good - except for the price. 1,700 spendidos!! Although I know I can get it for a little less. Technically speaking, I can "afford" it, but.......well, you know.

Waddya you guys think about shellin' out $1,500 - 1,700 on a suit?? Bear in mind it may just make you feel extra good every time you wear it!!

Thanks and take care

Spending $1500 on a riding suit isn't something that I'd ever do but if it "suits" you that's all that matters. :-D

I've spent over $10k on leather suits over the last 12yrs. Worth every penny to me. Can't put a price on the comfort provided by a good leather suit, IMO.

BlackBeauty,
just for comparison check out these guys. They only do mail order are of the finest quality and 1.2-1.4mm leather, soft but heavier than most also use some roo leather.

Tiger Angel Leather Apparrel

I have a pair of touring pants that are fantastic, custom made by TigerAngel.

I reckon if you find the suit really comfortable and you CAN afford them, well go for it and don't ever feel guilty afterwards, it's your money after all.

I prefer two peice myself but it is a personal thing.

Good luck what ever you do, theres nothing like leather.

Well, I'd say if you're going to get a kangaroo suit. You better hop to it!

I spent 150 on my Joe Rocket razor and 350 on my leathers. The money I saved on not spening 1500 on leathers I spent on a riding education. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure... or something like that. :-D
